Each line is completely separate from each other electrically and physically. Each line has a loop. There are extensive storage sidings in the fiddleyard which can hold 16 complete trains.

The layout was designed to operate with British Outline Locomotives and Rolling stock, however as there are no distinct British structures modelled on the layout, Fisher Bridge has been operated at a few exhibitions with just American Outline models running on it!
